How to Choose a 4 Man Tent

When looking for a 4 man tent, there are several important things you should bear in mind. Since these tents come in a wide variety of sizes, shapes, designs and materials, you need to do your homework in order to find out which tent is the most suitable for you and your needs. Some of the most important considerations when searching for a tent include the size, the intended use of the tent, the weather and environmental conditions of where the tent will be used, the season and the price. The price of course should be the last consideration, but in this time and age every dollar you save counts.

The size of the tent will depend on the number of people sharing the tent. This type of tent can come in a variety of sizes. Some have space to accommodate four people and their luggage, while others barely have enough room for two people. It is usually a good idea to consider the maximum number of people and luggage to be stored in the tent and then add some more space to allow for those extras that can never be planned for. If you are a car camper, the tent size when folded should not be an issue. But if you will be backpacking, then the weight and size of the folded tent will be something that you should think about.

Generally, tents can be categorized as either dome or tunnel. Domes are freestanding tents that are easy to set up. This tent is a dome in design. You can also find a tunnel style if you need something more stable. The tunnel design is usually more affordable than the dome.
